I have stayed at Greystones a number of times when on location for various T.V and radio broadcast commitments and Greystones is one of my favourite places to stay. With my busy broadcasting schedule I stay in a lot of Hotels and B&B's around the country and Greystones rates amongst the best. The warm hospitality, excellent food, and superb rooms and surroundings all combine for a relaxing and memorable experience. The Late John Cushnie

BBC Gardeners Question Time Panellist, broadcaster and writer. We really enjoyed staying in your home over the past two week. It has been wonderful to be looked after so well. Our work was made easier because of it. And of course the meals were fantastic. It will take us a while to get over being fed so well! Lori & Matt, Northern Ireland

Return is a must. Clare Walters, Norfolk - May 2007 A beautiful gem set in the bucolic Shropshire countryside, Greystones offers a luxurious respite with lovely gardens, luxury accommodations and gourmet meals. Enjoy an ensuite capaccino, then go down to the finest breakfast you will ever have. This is no eat and run place. Plan to linger awhile and stroll the beautiful gardens. Greystones has five stars because no one yet awards six!

Press Release - Shropshire Star
A luxurious bed and breakfast near Oswestry has scooped a prestigious five star rating within three months of opening its doors and also a special commendation for its food.
Greystones in Crickheath, has been awarded a five star rating and the special commendation for food by an AA inspector. It makes Greystones the only AA five star B&B in and around the Oswestry area and one of the few in the whole of Shropshire.
Cameron and Magy Beard, who opened the guest house in January, are delighted with the accolade. Mr Beard said, "We recently started a luxury B&B near Oswestry with a view to providing a very upmarket destination and top quality food. We were visited by the AA inspector and were awarded a five-star rating with a special commendation for our food. We are really pleased. It is fairly unusual for a B&B to be given five stars from the start. Given Shropshire¹s desire to constantly improve as a tourist destination we think our effort makes a small contribution to this."
Mr and Mrs Beard have lived in the area for more than 20 years, but having travelled the world for both business and pleasure, staying in beautiful and luxurious accommodation, they were inspired to open their own B&B. An AA spokeswoman said: "Greystones had a recent inspection and has been awarded five AA stars. Its recognition for food is the AA Dinner Award which is awarded for food that exceeds the quality requirements at the establishments star rating."
Thank you for staying at Greystones! Cameron & Magy
